Dear Father Rector:
This is to piously request for your written permission that we be allowed to excerpt pertinent portions from and post On-line the English versions of the Novena to the Holy Child of Cebu , the Perpetual Novena to Santo Niño de Cebu , and the History of the Santo Niño de Cebu from your booklet.
They will form the primordial parts, among others, of our devoutly envisioned On-line devotion to the Holy Child that I, at age 73 (as a lifetime devotee to our beloved Protector Santo Nino, though already an immigrant to a foreign country, but on a protracted visit to the homeland to pitch in help on a Senior Citizens-Pensionless Retirees' movement/advocacy for restoration of Old Age Pension for Life, etc.) am personally initiating to have same published in the Web – and accessible On-line thru a PC/Laptop/Notebook/even Cellphone with internet capability -- even as I am still undergoing rest-cure from a recent physical debility, under the proposed title SANTO NIÑO GLOBAL ONLINE DEVOTION (acronym: santoniñoGODevotion ).
This spiritual motivation is borne out of my somehow sad personal experiences while abroad as well as from some researches that there are legions of our compatriots overseas, especially our fellow Santo Nino devotees, who don't have access to our Catholic houses of prayers (churches) either because the places they are presently residing and/or working in don't have such churches in view of differences in religion, or if there may be any providentially at all, they are very sparse and too far off from our harried OFWs' locations. Hence, this Web-based devotional “attempt” is hoped to fill a portion of that void, especially with the help of equally-concerned devotees all over. Moreover, as the globally-accessible Cyberspace is now increasingly being infiltrated by unwholesome contents (pornography, gambling, even teachings on Satanism, etc.), it is hoped and prayed that others who are equally-concerned will realize that this modest spiritual “attempt” On-line might as well wholesomely help counter such immoral and noxious inroads!
